Time: 1-1 1/2 hrs
Cooking hard eggs in a solar cooker is so easy! Eggs never cracked like boiled eggs tend to do on me. Making hard eggs in an oven is different then a stovetop. No water is required. The same goes when making them in solar oven.
Preheat oven (set oven up with cooking chamber directed towards the sun)
Place desired amount of eggs in a pot and cover.
Cook for 1- 1/2 hours
Note: If it just doesn’t seem right to not place eggs in water. It can be done in a oven, but kindly note it is not as efficient as there is more mass, thus more energy is required. I don’t like this method as it is more labor intensive, as compared to just placing eggs in a pot and then going off to do other productive things. Below tells how “Boiled” Eggs can be made.
Boiled Eggs: In an oven, water is boiling when little bubbles are clinging to the sides of the pot as oven heat is radiated around the chamber. Rather then rolling from a single heat source such as a stovetop. Eggs can then be placed in the water for a stovetop cooking effect.
