How to Measure Sifted Flour
If you’re like me, you don’t make recipes that require sifted flour often enough to remember the rule. My brain has this little conversation with itself: “Measure then sift, or vice-versa?”
The answer is …. sift, then remeasure.
Example: If a recipe calls for 2 cups of sifted flour, sift the flour in a separate bowl and remeasure 2 cups. Return the unused portion of flour to its container.
